    Are teats this big normal?

Once again, I am super thankful to have you all at my finger tips for great advice. I've had rabbits for 1 year now and you all have helped me sooo much already. I had to work today but my awesome wife pulled momma out of cage today this morning and let babies feed on the swollen teats. It...

    Are teats this big normal?

I've never noticed my milking doe to have tits this big. She also has never pulled this much fur off of them. She had a litter of 5 one week ago, 2 died. Is this normal? -- Thu Mar 06, 2014 10:11 pm -- She is a 13 lb. Newzealand.

Wow!!! This is awesome!! you all are great!! I posted this yesterday thinking I might get a response or two if I waited a day. Thank you all so much for your input and help. I was sorta freaking out. I had my wife hold the bunny after I rubbed the firm hemotoma looking thing with mouth wash...

    funky looking ear

This 5 week old rabbit has had this one ear flopped over for as long as I can remember. Today when I looked at it, it has a big swollen purple bubble/blister looking thing in it. Anyone seen this before?

aged meat vs. super duper fresh

My wife and I did a little experiment tonight. Out of curiosity, we wondered if rabbit meat that was cooked and eaten before rigor set in would be as tender and juicy as aged rabbit meat. We had a frier that was frozen, then thawed and aged for 1 week in the fridge. Then we took one of same...

Doe and Buck Kits together till 10-12 weeks

I keep my 9 kits together. My first litter of NZW's I butchered at 11 weeks and I planned on doing the same with my current litter. I came home today (at 10 weeks and 2 days old) and found fur all over cage. 3 rabbits are injured. One is missing part of it's ear, one has blood on it's back and...

    Stupid question

Is it the buck or doe that determine how many babies are born?

Runny nose, should I be worried?

I saw her rubbing her nose with both front feet. She acts fine other than that. The picture doesn't make it look as bad as it really does. I hope it was just the fan?

Runny nose, should I be worried?

It's really hot in Kansas today, so I put a fan on my rabbits. I checked on them after about 4 hours and found this yellow snot and matted fur around momma's nose. Should I be worried?

    Hot Kits ?

We just had our second batch of baby bunnies born yesterday. The first group was born inside. Now our rabbits are outside and the weather is in the 90's here in Kansas this week. Momma rabbit has covered the kits with fur even in this heat. Is that ok? Should I uncover them? Bring them inside?

    Rabbit rookie questions

Edgerton Ks. I bought my first buck and doe from a breeder in Clinton, Mo. I also bought a doe on 3/27/13 from a guy in Shawnee, Ks. He turned me onto this website. I wonder if it was you? :D

    Odor control is small spaces

This might sound like a stupid question, but are you talking about lime juice from the fruit?
