Sorry so long without update, we were moving and internet has been weird. So, Lucky is completely healed and no infection :) The vet said his leg would be fused, and he would not be able to bend it. However, not only can you not tell he was ever hurt, but he can move his leg perfectly. I saw the X-rays, so I know his bones still can't be right, but he is acting like a normal bunny :) Also happy to report that he is still very very sweet, I can pick him up and cuddle him and he just let's you. He is my Mom's favorite because she likes to hug and kiss, and he just lets her, she turns him every which way hugs and kisses, and he is completely relaxed. I couldn't be happier with my decision to help him fight to get better. :) Thank all of you for helping me, I am forever grateful - and I would have been completely lost without all of you. Big hugs <3

Ah well, they always have to give the "worst case scenario", not only for insurance purposes but because medicine is a "practice" and not a guarantee of future outcome. I'm glad he beat the odds and is apparently "normal"!

That is awesome! Some animals seem to know and appreciate that you were trying to help even if the treatment was painful.

I am so glad that we were able to help! But you must have done a lot of supportive care and been very diligent because the swelling of the leg did not look good. It is obvious to me that you put a lot of effort into healing his leg.

Good job! :judges:

:yeahthat: We sure appreciate your kind words. :) But we also know you worked hard to bring him back from the brink! We applaud you for everything you did. He can't clap, so we'll do it for him.   :hooray:

Frequently, when someone finds us and posts for the first time in an emergency, it's already too late. It's just wonderful to hear a happy ending. :D

Hurray  I LOVE HAPPY ENDINGS!
Thank you Miss M for alerting me that the long awaited good news had finally come. I haven't been on RT as much as I should.
