How long do you have to wait to feed meat[to people or pets] from an animal that was given a Penicillin injection?

I wait 30 days or more.I know that is the way with poultry before you can eat there eggs

And what are the possible side effects of a dog killing and eating a rabbit that was recently given the shot?
