My Sistah, MamaSheepDog, uses these.....she like them.
Indeed I do!
I don't just like them- I love them!
The fact that you can open the front when the kits start leaving the nest is a great feature- no more kits frozen because they can't hop back into the box!

I was wondering about trying them as a stand alone not in the floor of the cage and was concerned about does tipping them over.
I have been using these for over three years now and have never had one tipped.

I have a couple of those nest boxes along with the liners. I raise NZ's and they're a little small for most of my girls.
I have had some Satins kindle in them, but I use them mainly for my Rex which average about 8-1/2 to 10lbs.

you can always make your own cardboard liners.
I did that for a while, but it got "old" fast, always scrambling to find a box to cut up. To avoid the hassle, I bought a 4' x 8' sheet of plastic wallboard and had Hubs cut bottom and side panels out of it, and drilled holes for zip ties. I have different sized side pieces so I can adjust the ventilation according to season.
The plastic is easy to clean and the rabbits don't chew on it.
One caution- in the summer months when kits tend to push all of the bedding away so they can lay on the cool floor, the bottom panel needs to be secured to the underside of the wire. I learned this the hard way when two litters developed splay leg from sliding on the plastic. :x
This box has the front flap down. Note that I modified this one by putting a 4" tall strip of 1" x 2" cage wire across the front to secure the plastic to in order to prevent the nesting material from being kicked out:
