Should I bring my mini-colony inside the barn if it snows? They seem to be handling the cold fine, I'm just concerned about cold + wet.

__________ Mon Jan 09, 2012 5:48 pm __________

No one???

My Flemish yard rabbit did great in the snow all winter (in Alaska, mind you). Do the same as you would with a rabbit with a hutch: be sure it has shelter out of the wind with some hay or straw to snuggle in and some place to feed where snow/rain won't get the feed wet. I gave her water until I realized she did drink it—she just ate snow, but I still felt better giving her water when I did the others.

As long as they have some dry shelter they should be fine. Rabbits like snow, so you'll probably see them out in it anyway.

Here's some of mine during the storm I had over Christmas.
