Its day 34. Last owner said she always goes day 32. I picked her up at as show on dec 4th, and he husband said she was bred the day before, so I know that's the latest possible date she could have been bred. Its been 34 days, and she is as round as soccer ball. I can see her teats which I could never see on my last doe who went at a comfortable 31 with seven babies. Take a look. I am not just thinking she is huge am I?10_18_51.jpg

Iyt's hard for me to tell from the pic, but she could be giving herself a little extra time because of the move & she's being a fragile flower about it. Do you have any herbs around that might help things move along a bit? I am tired and foggy and having a tough time remembering names but MSD has posted helpful herbal ifo. Maybe do a search and see.

Hope your next post is to brag about her beautiful kits!

-- Thu Jan 07, 2016 10:47 pm --

Found one of her posts:

You may want to try some herbs to stimulate labor.

Some of the herbs in the above link also cause a decrease in lactation, so you should cross reference them against this list:

Oddly, I have seen elsewhere that Parsley is good for stimulating milk production, but that may be only soon after giving birth, since it causes the uterus to contract, which in turn stimulates lactation. :?

You may want to offer her some herbs that promote lactation after she gives birth to counteract the effects of the others used to induce labor:

Nipple stimulation is also effective on bringing on transition in labor. Gently squeeze an rub her nipples. She probably wont like it, so be prepared!

You can also pull fur from her sides and belly, and that may bring her labor on.

Good luck! :clover:
