Will a doe still lift for a buck if she is bred?

So, I'm still having problems getting my does bred after my buck went heat sterile this summer. We were still having hot days and nights well into oct so I'm not holding my breath just yet.

I noticed one of my does hay stashing yesterday (day 18) so figured they weren't bred again and stuck her with the buck. She was very eager. Almost jumped out of my arms trying to get into his cage while I was trying to get the door open. :lol: So, anyway, since that one wasn't bred I figured her sister probably wan't either and stuck her in with the buck. I got two fall offs but the entire time this doe was grumbling to him. Is it possible she is bred even though she did lift for him? Or is she just being vocal?

I keep meaning to get pictures of these two does for everyone. I just love them. They are broken chinchillas and the loveliest girls. I so wish they would get bred. They are almost 8 months old and don't have any kits from either of them. They came of breeding age right in the middle of the summer.

Sometimes they will, but mine usually do the grunting stubborn thing when pregnant or going thru false pregnancy. And if the first one is assumed to have had a false pregnancy, then the second one may be also but just going longer with it. Mine always get thru their's in the 18 days or so, but some can take longer. But it's also possible she is pregnant too. I would just keep watching her and looking for other signs

Doesn't seem to make a difference, I've had does that palpated negative rebreed super easy and then end up being pregnant from the FIRST time...ugh.

I'd give her a nest box for the first breeding date , if she doesn't deliver just remove it and replace for the second date .... All this heat UGH!
