So, I'm still having problems getting my does bred after my buck went heat sterile this summer. We were still having hot days and nights well into oct so I'm not holding my breath just yet.
I noticed one of my does hay stashing yesterday (day 18) so figured they weren't bred again and stuck her with the buck. She was very eager. Almost jumped out of my arms trying to get into his cage while I was trying to get the door open. So, anyway, since that one wasn't bred I figured her sister probably wan't either and stuck her in with the buck. I got two fall offs but the entire time this doe was grumbling to him. Is it possible she is bred even though she did lift for him? Or is she just being vocal?
I keep meaning to get pictures of these two does for everyone. I just love them. They are broken chinchillas and the loveliest girls. I so wish they would get bred. They are almost 8 months old and don't have any kits from either of them. They came of breeding age right in the middle of the summer.
