Ivermectin is for parasites, not viruses or other diseases.
The Nobel Prize you mentioned was for curing roundworm infestations which are a parasite, not a disease.
@Rabbits by Accident is absolutely right - ivermectin has well-documented anti-viral effects (as well as anti-helmintic, anti-microbial and even anti-cancer effects).

Ivermectin is acknowledged to inhibit invasion and replication of viral RNA through a variety of pathways (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC9823263/).

It's considered a wonder drug by many in the microbiology and epidemiology fields.

Since it is such a tremendous and important resource, I try to limit its use to absolute necessity (RHDv2 would probably be one), so as to delay the inevitable resistance that some organisms will eventually develop. I do not ever use it prophylactically. Apparently there are already nematodes that are ivermectin-resistant.

Anyone else who might be interested in it here is a really informative article from 2017 (before it became verboten to mention how wonderful it is)

"Over the past decade, the global scientific community have begun to recognize the unmatched value of an extraordinary drug, ivermectin, that originates from a single microbe unearthed from soil in Japan. Work on ivermectin has seen its discoverer, Satoshi Ōmura, of Tokyo’s prestigious Kitasato Institute, receive the 2014 Gairdner Global Health Award and the 2015 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine, which he shared with a collaborating partner in the discovery and development of the drug, William Campbell of Merck & Co. Incorporated. Today, ivermectin is continuing to surprise and excite scientists, offering more and more promise to help improve global public health by treating a diverse range of diseases, with its unexpected potential as an antibacterial, antiviral and anti-cancer agent being particularly extraordinary."

Ivermectin is an antiviral and slows inflammation which is why it worked for covid. I have it in pill form from the pharmacy which adds in D3. Due to the increase in price I switched to injectable for myself and animals.
Except that it doesn't work for covid...

"Claims that ivermectin, hydroxychloroquine or chloroquine can treat COVID-19 are false. These medicines are still useful for treating other illness. But only medicines approved or authorized by the FDA to treat COVID-19 are useful for that illness.

Ivermectin treats or prevents parasites in animals and in humans, not viruses. Taking large doses of this drug can cause serious harm."

https://www.fda.gov/consumers/consu...ivermectin for use,against COVID 19 in humans.

"Here’s What You Need to Know
The FDA has not authorized or approved ivermectin for use in preventing or treating COVID-19 in humans or animals.
The FDA has determined that currently available clinical trial data do not demonstrate that ivermectin is effective against COVID 19 in humans. "
"How is Ivermectin Used?
Ivermectin tablets are approved by the FDA to treat people with intestinal strongyloidiasis and onchocerciasis, two conditions caused by parasitic worms. In addition, some topical forms of ivermectin are approved to treat external parasites like head lice and for skin conditions such as rosacea.

Some forms of animal ivermectin are approved to prevent heartworm disease and treat certain internal and external parasites in animals. It’s important to note that these products are different from the ones for people, and safe only when used in animals as labeled or as prescribed. "

um...
Rabbits & disease/parasites
uh ... Don't believe we were discussing c19 in ANY way. Even the people trying to inject everyone haven't said rabbits get c19

You can believe any source you want. However, I no longer believe the people so determined to put a needle in every arm.

Interesting little fact for you - if there was ANY drug that could treat C19 they would have been UNABLE to have emergency use authorization for an experimental genetic injection (read the authorization rules)

That's a fact

So there could be NO OTHER TREATMENT thus all others must be denied & demonized.

Your life is your very own path, not mine
Happy trails to you :)

Did you read what I was replying to? Scooter specifically said it works on Covid which is what I was replying to.

It works for c19
it works for 'long covid' (vax injury)

your sources are not reliable

Not replying anymore

again,
your path is your own
it's most definitely not my path
happy trails :)

Except that there was no evidence that it worked on Covid, if there was, then it would have been an actual treatment and not just a bunch of nuts storming the feed stores for horse wormer.

And since the parasites that are supposed to die from these dewormers are becoming resistant to this last/latest antihelmitic, and developing a new one takes 20 years, this kind of cure all use promotion has me worried, sad and mad. There was no new stuff developing when i bought my first horse 20 years ago and people where already starting to worry (still plenty knew the nightmare of animals insides full of worms untill they ruptured). Now 20 years later there is still nothing new even started and people are being callous about other then needed use along with incompetent use of dewormers we still have for the intended use.

Yes! Using dewormers and antibiotics for whatever you want whenever you want is what is causing all of these drug resistant strains of parasites and bacteria.

I actually wonder how long it will be before they lock up the dewormers to keep people from creating more resistant parasites like they did the antibiotics.

The very definition of this is why we can't have nice things. Some people mishandle it, so now no one can get it without jumping through hoops.
