Why cull Magpies?

We breed pet quality Mini Lops. When reading different articles on breeding of different colors I keep seeing people saying cull all Magpies. I'm really wondering why? I realize they cannot be shown but neither can Japanese Harlequin. I've found that people seem to take a liking to that color. Just wondering the thinking behind that.

but Tri colours / broken Harlequin can be shown and just like vienna carriers with white marks aren't showable, they can still contribute to the gene pool in the creation of tri's or BEW's

If you keep breeding broken to broken you are only going to end up with the mostly white charlies
