So I sold a bunny a while back to a gal. Solid black holland lop with one white spot on his forehead. VERY friendly social little fellow.

I got this email today. (an excerpt)

"He also still has his little spot on his head, and is actually graying all over his body. Hes got little white hairs all along his body, and a lot on his ears and chest!"

What in the world would cause that? he'd be about 4 months old by now. I've not had a bunny do that whitening/greying thing before so I'm a bit stumped about what to tell her about that. It intrigues me. She sent a pic but I can't see that effect in the picture she sent.

he's apparently maintained that super friendly attitude which is really nice and a testament to how nice a home he's in and the work I did with him.

Sounds like you may have a hidden Vienna gene in his lines this will often show up unexpectedly as a random white spot and will cause "ticking" in another wise solid coat. Test breed 2 from same background together and you may get blue eyed whites as well as Vienna marked buns.
