I would appreciate opinions on which of these you'd keep. I realize pet quality and might not be ones you keep period! However, choosing between the two if there are things that stand out to you that would sway you one direction. I am learning and don't even know what all to look for.
Either would be bred to Japanese Harlequin doe.

Currently my Mini Lop buck Thomas

OR from litter Thomas recently fathered (bred to spoken of Jap. Harl.) this Tri Color buckling
(only 4 weeks old)

I would keep the tri color buckling. the butterfly on his nose is better and this markings overall is really nice.

I agree the kit has nice markings but his crown is not as nice and I don't know if the ears will lop. It's not a trait I would want to pass on. Although his father is not a perfectly patterned he has proven he can produce kits that are better marked.

I'd wait for a male kit with better ear carrage and not take a chance on this ones. Most of my Mini Lops and Lion Lops have dropped ears by 4 weeks or at least have airplane ears.

Not a clue on rabbit conformation so I can't tell ya anything, but Thomas is friggin adorable. I wanna pet him!

Thanks for sharing your opinion Celice! I love his coloring and appreciated your input. I really would like to keep him... I'll weigh in others opinions too!
Thank you.

__________ Sat Dec 20, 2014 3:24 pm __________

Dood, as much as I like this guy I know I need to be objective so I appreciate you sharing concern about ears lopping & ear carriage/crown. I want to hear out those that are MUCH more experienced than me!
I have assumed it's just early for his ears and that they will lop. He does have them down once in awhile. I had read it varies and that some don't lop until even 3 - 6 months. Obviously it would be nice if they were lopped at 4 weeks like your rabbits though. Anyways, I didn't know if it would affect your opinion at all... when I gently pet his head and above his ears he relaxes them down and they stay that way for awhile.
Here are a couple photos to show what he looks like with them down:
