I can hardly contain myself, but I can't tell anyone I know in real life yet.

My son (the rabbit whisperer) just got word he's been accepted to Texas A&M University for the fall semester!! It's been a long, hard road for him (think "Rudy") with many disappointments along the way, but he persevered, and finally made it!!

Thank you, everybunny! He is really excited. He doesn't usually show much emotion, but he was jumping up and down today after he got the news. His ear is still recovering from my scream when he showed me the results.

MSD, he's be majoring in music. He has played the violin and viola since he was 7yo, and also plays bass guitar, keyboards, and sings.

(Sorry for the late reply--I've been out of town for over a week.)

Yes, he has one small scholarship now (Eagle Scout/4-H), but with the grades he posted this past semester, it's likely that will be increased substantially. He may be offered other scholarships, as well (at least we hope so).

Thanks, everyone! Now that I'm coming down off the high of his getting accepted, it's starting to sink in that I'm "losing" him AND his brother at the same time. We found out last week that #2 son is going to have the money to go to school in Florida (he'd already been accepted but didn't have the finances). So excited for both of them, but it's gonna be tough on mama!
