I don't think I can really do much with them... I am not sure that I can put anything in them as is, I think they are too small.

I picked up 2 stacks of 4 for $50.

I'm thinking of putting them side by side and connecting them, and making them 4 cages that are 22x30.

Unless I can use them as is.

Maybe get some dwarf breed to take up the space ?!

Seems in some area's the dwarf breeds sell rather well as pets , with the right breed you could feed your herd with the funds generated ....

lol. I breed lionheads, and am hoping to get Polish. I just don't feel right using such small cages. They're *legally* big enough, though, for the lions or the Polish.

I think either option could work- connecting them, or keeping a set for growing out juniors.

I would probably use them for whatever works best in your space.

I don't do a lot of grow out, though.

Now that LH's are recognized, you will. You need to isolate your show prospects so there is no competition for food, no fur chewing, etc. You might keep a couple from each litter to see who matures better before deciding who to keep or sell, so having those cages will come in handy.

Well, I spent 3hrs working on them. There were some holes that needed patching, and I am almost done that. One tray is rusted through, and one is missing - not sure what to do about that just yet... put the whole stack into a tray made of corroplast and not use trays on the bottom is my current plan.

There are also these weird hay racks. They're about 6"x4", made of 1/2"x1" wire, and go across the whole front of the cage. I think I will have to remove those, which is a pain, because they are open at the ends, so that makes more holes to patch.

I have decided that other than patching holes and potentially ripping out the hay racks, I am going to leave them as is for now.

Not because I plan on growing out show rabbits(I don't show), but because of the Easter rental bunnies. Good storage space for some of those. Plus, having them in 2 individual stacks, makes it easier to put them in the shed.
