I'm going to let you guys guess first before I post the results of her test!

She is a black 15 pound cutie-pie. She has a high prey drive, very smart, listens, doesn't notice freezing temperatures, athletic, fast runner and perfect accuracy catching things in mid-air, adores people, digs holes to keep cool in summer & has a deeper big dog bark. She started out all black with the only white being some hairs on her chest and underside of neck. She now has a lot of gray on her, back of thighs, tail and undercoat. Her fur is insanely thick, I cannot bathe her and get water to reach skin ever, her fur crimps when wet, too.

Here are a ton of pictures of her from day one until now, no real order. I can't find pics that clearly show her now, I'll look some more.

Don't cheat and look at my FB page!

I picked Spitz family. :)

Maybe a touch of lab in there somewhere, which would account for her not fully curled tail.

I'm guessing that we are in for a surprise, and she is actually Giant Schnauzer, Miniature Poodle, and Chihuahua.

looks a bit like a Schipperkee ( and i cannot spell That word....)

At any rate... that breed just doesn't know how small they actually are...

I was thinking schipperkee also. I put Spitz poodle

I guess there should be a limit before I post what she is. You guys think we can reach 100 guesses or would 2 weeks be better?

I thought she was a Schipperke or something in the Spitz family. I call her a mini coyote. =D She's a great hunter and looks so evil sometimes, lol.

*puts on professional dog groomer hat* Purebred Pomeranian. Yeah she's big for a Pom, yeah her coat is thin for a Pom, yeah she's long in the back for a Pom...............................but I've seen a lot of pet-quality Poms come across my table and I doubt she's anything but. :)

Her face is a dead give-away.

So anyone who chose Spitz-family is right on the money IMO, as Poms are technically spitz-type. :)

The only reason I usually cringe when someone brings me a Pom like that is because a lot of owners say "Make my dog look like the one on the dog show on TV!" and then they get mad when I tell them that their dog just doesn't have the right coat for it. :( Same with a lot of Poodles I've groomed...a dog can be a purebred Poodle in any variety and NOT HAVE POODLE COAT. Makes pleasing their owners impossible! </tangent>

So yeah. Pomeranian. :)

I voted chihuahua and uber cute...before I looked at the rest of the pics. There is some Pom in there, I would bet.

(the uber cute stays :))

__________ Wed Feb 13, 2013 6:12 pm __________

Oh...and the third one from the bottom...that says black bear to me!

Ahem! Pom was not in the selection criteria!

Poms are a spitz breed, as are Chows and Schipperkes, two of the other breeds mentioned.

I don't like Poms and she isn't yappy or aggressive like little dogs can be over their people. You know, that whole Chihuahua barking when your son is trying to hand something to you and the dog is next to you, thing.

__________ Wed Feb 13, 2013 6:36 pm __________

She looks like a Pom to me.

Never heard of that, I'm using a well known test, at least it's well known here and in stores.

Well, I got my mom right off and had her look at it. She groomed dogs for a couple years and knows them better then me.

So, we vote spitz!

Spitz family or not she is an absolute cutie! :p
