She is also moulting and it looks like her new fur will be darker with more ticking than her baby coat and in time all of her fur will look this way
You are correct that the non extension gene that turns chestnuts into fawns, blacks into torts and sables into seal points, like the bunny in the picture, is at work in your fawn rabbit but the sable /light shaded gene creates more of a "pointed" look just on its own (as seen in Siamese sables) and is not responsible for your bunnies smutty nose
