What is this color?

He appears to be a black otter but one ear is not beige inside and his belly almost looks harlequin pattern

Yep, thought so also but never seen otter with steel

Not sure if this is possible genetically but it Looks like

That's a harlequinised Otter, a(t)_ Ee(j). The harlie gene only affects the otter markings (you can't see it on the body as it has no effect on self).

Wonderful, thank you for this answer. I wasn’t aware there was such a color. We just breed for meat but have never seen this pop up.
