Pedigreed French Angoras - $50-$75 depending on coat quality, leaning more towards 75 since my most used brood doe is a monster and yields 6 oz each molt.

Pedigreed Standard Rex - Will be asking $35-$50 depending on coat density. These will mostly be meat bunnies and will only be a available for sale between 8-12 weeks. After 12 weeks they'll
Go to FC unless they are amazing in every way. First litter is now just 3 days old, so we'll see how we'll this plan holds!

(These prices are what I feel fair charging since it's what I paid and is what is standard in my area.)

Majority of sales:

Rabbitry is just really getting underway, so most rabbits leaving have been trades for new stock. Then in descending order; fiber enthusiests, meat breeding stock.

All rabbits are pedigreed English Lops out of show quality, grand champion stock.

The general price range is between $75.00 - $100.00 per rabbit, altho I just sold 2 tri colors (very rare in this area) for $150.00 each. Prices will go up as the quality of my herd increases, and as I am able to register more breeders.

The majority of sales have been to people who want to begin showing, secondly to 4H, tho many have been simply for pets.

50# bag of pellets = 16.99. I go thru approx. 150 lbs every 2-3 weeks, and have a total of 25 rabbits right now.

but I am reasonable! If you sell to cheaply, folks like to
believe that you are selling JUNK! While if you charge
a higher price they believe they are getting a better product!
Just look at the prices of whatever you are buying out in the
"REAL WORLD"! Every day we are all taken to the cleaners,
come home with nearly empty pockets, and we are Proud and excited by it!
I just try to treat all people fairly in whatever I do on a daily basis.
and that's all you can do. No one has ever left after dealing with me
feeling unhappy, nobody is going to get RICH selling rabbits,
so why not just enjoy your time and dealing with them.
When a customer leaves and you both have a smiling face,
it's been a good day!

I was a bit unsure about our prices for a start, thinking that they where to high- but now I think they are pretty good really. Considering the fact that we actually have NO competition down here for Nethies (unless you count the pet shop ).

Pet = $0-20, depending on various factors

I'd say about 60% of my sales are for show/breeding animals, with the remaining 40% for pets.

meat sold for pet food? $10 for a 5 lb fryer. It's high because I don't like selling much, even at that price. I prefer to put them in my own freezer.

I have 5 does and two bucks at this time, I breed each doe 2-3 times a year.

Only sales so far have been as pets.

Currently have 3 does , one buck as production stock. 6 grow outs waiting on sales or freezer camp & two litters ~1 week old totaling 15 kits.

I haven't started breeding yet, but here's going by the current market (Nethies are being snapped up left and right) and what I'll probably try selling mine for (though it will probably fluctuate depending on how many people are buying). Pedigreed Holland Lops in my area for example, are on the market for $200ish :|

I paid $30 for each of my doe's with pedigree. She didn't charge me extra for the pedigree's. I paid $18 for a bale of timothy hay, around $7.50 per 8lb bag of rabbit food. I have no idea what I will sell kits for when I start breeding. Prices will be completely different in North Dakota than they are in Colorado.
