This is a colour I haven't had in my litters before.

His coat is quite flecked, not tipped, but odd white hairs scattered mainly on his rear end. Photos don't really show up very well. And his feet are rather oddly marked - maybe harlequin coming through?

Parents were blue agouti chinchilla, and seal/sable steel. Have had harlequin and magpie offspring, along with rew (waiting for kits eyes to open)

Also, instead of creating another thread. Is the guy at the bottom a black agouti?

Bottom looks black chin to me.
Top kit looks... hmm.. harlequinized something? I see spots on the hind feet. Or broken agouti something (steel?)

Nah, the kit isn't steel. It's agouti marks are all too white. Looks too dark to be an ordinary chinchilla though, maybe harlequinized silver martin? (tan and chinchilla) at_B_ cchd_D_ Eej ??

I was going to say it's the tan gene at work - tans/otters/marten often have a lot of stray white hairs

I agree with Zass it looks like a silver marten - tan, black, chin, not dilute, full extension

The lop looks like a light version of silver tipped steel - agouti, black, chinchilla, not dilute, steel

I think you may be referring to my post Zass. I guessed the "bottom guy" (as she referred to him) is Steel. The kit doesn't look Steel at all. You know you taught me better than that. ;)

Nah actually, Susie tossed it out there as kind of a vague possibility.

But I didn't think it was, so I had to speak up.
I'm not really sure if it's Harlequinized. Sometimes it's just plain hard to tell  .

As to the bottom guy, I think, I'd like to see a pic of his undersides in good lighting if possible.
