If this picture is not good enough to see then I'll try to pose her another picture with better lighting. (I tried to upload more than one picture, but I don't seem to know how).

I'm pretty sure she is a lilac tort french angora. I just want to make sure. Her mother is lilac pearl, and father is broken blue tort.

__________ Fri Aug 16, 2013 11:52 am __________

The way I said the question made it sound like I wasn't sure if she was a french angora :) No, I just want to know about the color. And here is another picture.

Does her sire carry chocolate? To me she looks like a dilute(blue)tort. If her sire does not carry chocolate it's impossible for her to be a lilac. Lilac is chocolate + blue.

Pictures that have good lighting but not direct sunlight would be more accurate. With colors that are all ready a bit difficult to tell apart (blue, chocolate, or lilac tort) it's important to have pictures that are show the color properly.

I keep going between chocolate and lilac tort when I look at the pictures. I'm unsure if it's got a dilute look or if it's just the picture playing tricks on me. A lot of the dilutes in my area don't have the greyish colored eyes, so I don't normally go by that... although it could be different in other places.

Definitely lilac tort. The eyes are not always grey. I have a doe who's eyes are chocolate brown, but she is a lilac tort. She is an exact copy of her sister, and her sis just took GC at a show, so I know it has to be allowed.

I atatched a pic for comparison. She's in between coats so nevermind the fact that she's all guard hair at this point...

I would say lilac tort, but I wasn't aware that lilacs (or any dilute) were "allowed" to show with brown eyes. I guess I'll have to refer to my SOP.
