So I was curious if everyone else did the same stupid thing I do where I name my rabbits something related to their personality or life story stuff or whatever..
So my doe Butterball got her name because originally she was a he, then he started putting on a lot of weight after being let out with the other two bucks (Thank god my bucks didn't decide to fight when I'd let them outside) and her "brother" (a.k.a. her sister) well once the weight started getting packed on I named him Butterball, about a week before kindling I watched a youtube video on sexing rabbits and I sexed them myself and found out both were girls.
Harlem got her name because of the meaning of the name "bold, independent, inquisitive and interested in research. You know what you want and why you want it." and what she wants is to have babies, she loves having little babies with her. So does her mom Butterball.
The name Turtle, I found in Native American means Mother Earth, and I named my buck Papa Bear to go with it, although now looking back I should've named him Father Time..
Then I also have Rose and Dorothy from the Golden Girls, Totoro and Mai from the movie Totoro (Will have a Satski soon) I also have Mato which means Bear, and Milla which was a German witch name meaning beauty if I'm not wrong, but the three M's (Mato, Milla, Mai) are from the same litter from Harlem.
