The last time my buns got any commercial feed was Thursday morning-- a bit of the horse feed to tide them over until I got back from the fair-- I guess I am providing enough foraged food for them, as they are not DIVING into the stuff-- yes, they come to the cage doors, stick their heads out in anticipation-- but they seem to wait and check out all the offerings before starting to nibble ( I tend to gather in layers, so distribute by layers, as well) The weather has cooled off a bit-- but that aside-- I am very pleased with being able to currently meet all their caloric and energy needs just by filling a couple buckets with fresh greens every day. Heck, last night, I actually transplanted RAGWEED into my patio area-- call me silly-- as I AM allergic to it-- but it will provide more variety in the area. Ineed toget some turnip seeds in there, and clover, and rye, and.....

Take heart! A lot of people who think they're allergic to ragweed are actually allergic to other, less-noticeable weeds that pollinate at the same time. Hopefully you're one of them.

Oh no-- definitely ragweed-- touch it, itch for hours!!! I am allergic to so much stuff, it is amazing I can breathe at times-- but then, I take some care in exposure times, too. I try to avoid a lot of medication- eliminating rebound effects, as well.

Just offered the buns a bit of carrot-- they must be feeling really full== no takers!
