It's her body, she'll have them when she wants too. lol.

That seems to be a lesson Lily knows well.

Can you feel anything in her? For most of Lily's pregnancies, by this time, she's carrying around hay, and her tummy's all tight and weirdly lumpy.

Fingers crossed that Luna does well, in whatever she chooses to do with her body.

Not carrying hay, no weird lumps in her belly. Feel her nipples, but then again, it could be that she's now a mature doe. She's my big girl, turned 8 months on Saturday. Thanks for the good wishes. Will let you know if anything happens.

Anything yet?!

Nope, nothing yet. I don't think she's pregnant, but will keep the nest box in for a couple more days. And if not, just start over. Neville did his duty well. She accepted him, so I don't think there will be a problem trying again.

I had always thought Neville and Luna would end up together! :)

And *gasp* you are in NJ?!

Yep, they make an awesome pair. And can't wait to see what they produce.

Unfortunately yes, I'm still in NJ. I don't call it NJ, I call it New Jokesey. And in the worst county of all, Camden.

day 31 is today, isn't it? Maybe she's just good at hiding them?!

C'mon Luna... I know it's your body, but I want to see your babies!!!

*cheers Luna on*

Her First Hay Mustache

Here ye, Here ye, Here ye,

The Tribe at ZRabbits is proud to announce Luna has successfully delivered! And Neville is a Dad! Dobby, Kreacher, Willard and Fawkes and Jake are now Uncles!

From what we can see right now, there are 4 popples and they are active! Will update later after everyone relaxes.

Luna is doing well and eating like a horse.

Karen

__________ Thu Oct 04, 2012 6:19 am __________

Well took a better look at our new tribe members. Looks like 4 healthy, active popples!

Here's some pics for you from this morning.

Looks like we got some Neville color in there.

Now it's time to watch them grow! Can't wait to see how they develop.

Z, Luna looks absolutely precious!

It looks like you have two brokens and two white ones! Do LH's come in BEW or just REW?

:congratulations:

You must be so excited! :D

:wbounce: :wbounce: :wbounce:
Congratulations to Luna, Neville and to you, Karen! They are adora-bunny! Just a small comment....that hay is awfully big and stemmy for a nest. Do you have a way to get some softer, grass hay? Or even some straw? It is possible that your cute little babies could injure their sweet little selves on it.

Thanks, we are all excited about the new arrivals.

I think LH's do come in BEW and REW, but mine will be REW.

Give her lots of pets from me. I can't wait to see them grow!!!

Gave Luna her "Bad Habit" pets. She really appreciated it.

Had the babies out last night. We weighed them. They were very active. This morning all are doing well. Lined up all in a row in the nest. Luna has settled down. She's not as aggressive as she was. I guess I would be nasty too going through labor as she did. Gave her parsley yesterday, along with pellets and hay. She's eating well. Very curious of her babies. Worried about feeding, but went to the "Fed vs UnFed" thread and read that doe's milk doesn't come in right away. She's checking on them constantly. Actually pulled more fur last night to put on her babies. Will check them when I get home from work. If I don't see fat bellies, will flip Luna and see if they nurse. Also read that on the the thread.

Very exciting. 2 White and 2 broken. Mamasheepdog was right. Hoping all goes well with the babies. But watching Luna and her babies like a hawk.

I find that holding the doe in the box over them or holding her on my lap, with my legs spread a bit and holding the kit under works better than flipping the doe. The milk lets down better, I think because they are more relaxed than when on their back....For us, feeding like this is a two person job, one to hold the doe and one to hold the kit.
