2 of our does had babies over night last night! They are the first babies to be born in the colony. Mopsy had 7 wiggly babies and Beatrix had 9 but 1 was dead when I checked on everyone this morning. I had to supplement Beatrix's nest with cotton balls b/c she didn't pull much fur; it's her first litter. We have 1 more doe that I think might be pregnant. BTW, covered cat litter boxes seems to make great nest boxes.
Mopsy is the brown doe and Beatrix is the grey doe. Beatrix is Mopsy's daughter.
