As everyone else got freezing rain.. I got snow... this is in two days worth..it can stop anytime.. they are calling for more mixed with freezing rain.. when I took these pictures this morning it was a drizzling out..

YOu can see on my boots on how high the snow is...WE DID a clean up yesterday and woke up this morning to more than yesterday.. clean up again. I think we got enough now.

Mercy that is some substantial snow!

We are currently being blessed with lots and lots of rain (2 days worth) melting previous snow. Now massive flooding ensues. Not looking like a white christmas any more.

Wow Mary Ann! That's a lot of snow! Folks wouldn't know what to do with that here! LOL
We used to see quite a bit here in Georgia but after the blizzard of '93, it just quit snowing here.
Had a little in the past few years and freaked out the young drivers...LOL

LoraAnnIN- My sympathies, we're getting that system now, I know how you feel. :(

I'd rather have snow than freezing rain. Some of our trees are are practically bent in half with the weight and there are snapped branches everywhere, including a couple on the fencing and roof :(

It is supposed to go up to 3 C ( 36 F) so most should melt but then we get a cold snap in 72 hours so frozen again.

Wow, that is a lot of snow! We have only had that much once here, six years ago. It lingered for two weeks, whereas usually our snow melts within a day or three at the most, except for scattered patches in shaded areas.

Frecs, that ice looks amazing! I know it is terribly dangerous, but it sure is pretty. I bet it is spectacular when the sun hits it.

We are snowed in. I haven't heard a plow all morning. My sister is currently driving up from MO and then my mom and her are going to take the huge 4 wheel drive suv to pick us up for a late lunch. My truck could probably make it but I'm not going to turn down someone else driving instead.

I just looked out the window here, and it doesn't seem like the county plow has been by. I haven't had the chance to go plow out our driveway yet, but it's still snowing here, and unless it's a constant, heavy snowfall, I try to wait until it stops.

My mom gets in trouble for doing that at the apartment complexes she manages. People complain if the sidewalk and parking lot aren't kept clear and salted through an ice or snow storm. My mom said you don't need to go anywhere during a storm anyway and got quoted in the local newspaper with someone complaining that she must think the elderly and disabled in the apartments are dead already.

Today I am in Ontario with the freezing rain. Until then, Alberta. This is what we had...

All piled up...

After this...

And when the sun came out....

I'll pack up as much snow as you like and send it to you. Along with the cold needed to keep it for you. Cause, really, I am so done with -20/-30.

Only 87 more days til spring!

I preferred the one very odd winter where it was 50F on christmas and we never saw below 0 or any snow. Where did global warming go... Of course the following summer did really suck. We got trapped in a heat bubble from the air pressure and all the cold and rain went around us for 3 months. It was over 100F for something like 2 months out of 3 and the rest was 90s. That wreaked havoc on my recovering heart problems. Dragging cages of rabbits out to butcher, stuffing the meat in coolers, and then dragging it all back to the truck. A couple times I stopped sweating and only made it back to the stable because I had bottles of water to dump over myself until I could use the hose and constant 40F well water.

I'll still take heat stroke over frostbite and never feeling warm enough any day. Texas was nice. If only I wasn't deathly allergic to everything with a venom and half the things without.
