"Virtual" Rabbit Show?

Would anyone be interested in doing a 'virtual' rabbit show?
I think it could be fun, and something to attract new members even....
I'm not sure how rabbit shows are done, but we could start a thread where folks could pose their rabbits and take pictures and enter them in different categories, then start a new thread for a new 'round' until winners are declared and such?

Of course, we would need folks to volunteer to be judges (who would not be able to enter their own bunnies).

It would just be something for fun, maybe let people practice posing their rabbits and getting critiques and such. Neither of my rabbits are show quality, but I would probably participate, just to find out how they would score and why. I guess each rabbit could have a score card? I'm not sure how the details would work out, but it could be exciting and educational.

Or are you going on "cuteness" alone? If so, I'm in there as well... gonna have to take more pic's, lol

I am also in. We do need to figure out judges, but maybe if we can't find those we can just do, I don't know, themed photo threads or something.

I think there should be breed categories and 'fun' categories.
Breed categories should be judged by people who know what to look for.
Fun categories should be based on popular vote (people can use the 'thanks' button to vote) on an individual rabbit.

I think we could do different views of each posed rabbit for breed, and only one photo entry per category per rabbit for the fun categories.

Fun category ideas: most adorable face, most interesting coat pattern, best prop shot, rabbit/owner look alike, cutest couple, silliest photo, best fake dead rabbit, best Easter bunny.... others?

We can start each category with its own thread ( would be great to have a section for this) and give folks 24 hrs to put up their entry before judging/voting starts. Other ideas?

We did try to do this about a year and a half ago. There seemed to be a lot of interest, but we didn't get enough submissions.

RT has grown a good bit since then, though. Maybe it could work this time.

That sounds like a great idea.

I would think that folks need a little bit of prep time to get some good photos to submit.

I thought it would work to let people vote using the 'thanks' button.
That way, each person can vote only one time on each picture (without being able to vote on their own submission) and I would also say that if you submit a picture, you HAVE to vote (at least once)!
