So Clover my 5 month old FW doe has been diagnosed with vent disease. She is undergoing treatment with Combi-Pen 48. She has never been bred and vent disease is sexually transmited so she had to catch it from her mother at birth. All of my FW's are from the same breeder with shared lineage.

Is there any reason I shouldn't treat all of the FW's including the keepers from the breedings last week for vent disease? I feel like I need to nip it in the bud like ASAP.

I would treat the herd, but I don't think you'll need to treat the not-yet born kits. I *believe* that they acquire the disease during birth if there are active lesions (as far as I know that is how most venereal diseases are passed to infants of whatever species), and with treatment of the doe(s) prior to birth that shouldn't be an issue. I know that penicillin is safe during pregnancy, but I am not familiar with what other drugs are in Combi-Pen 48.
