Fingers crossed-hopeful they'll thrive! And good job to you and your wife, regardless of outcome. You two really put some love & effort into these little guys!

Thank you!

I'm not sure what she's going to say when I tell her I want to keep all 3 of them. She seems to think that I'm a "bunny-aholic" and that I'm in denial. Yet it was her that brought the first two bunnies to our house last April. So she started this.

She will tell me that we don't have any more space........ but she probably forgot that I have 3 more nice cages in the shed. I just need to find a spot in our garage to put them...... I don't want to end up sleeping on the couch, so I probably won't suggest that she park her vehicle in the driveway. :D

Keep praying that these 3 little bunnies get strong and grow up!!!

:bunnyhop: :bunnyhop: :bunnyhop:

Jimmywait..... my husband just found out I bought another rabbit and was hiding him in the garage.... not happy hubby. He'll get use to the idea...... right? Just like your wife and your three new bunnies!!!!

Well it looks like 3 of them might make it...... Hopefully!

Today is day 13 and their eyes are still shut. Aren't they supposed to open between 10 - 12 days? Should we worry? Or is it okay due to the stress they were under on days 8 to 10?

Thank you for your help and comments!

Glad they are doing well. My Polish sometimes don't start opening their eyes until they're 2-2 1/2 weeks old, so I wouldn't worry to much yet.

Just read through the thread and am glad to hear the kits are doing well :)
I know parsley and some other herbal remedies are good for milk production but I'm wondering if there is maybe something else like a lack of protein, calcium or minerals in her pellets and other feed that is causing her to have a hard time producing milk. Maybe she needs something rich and fattening like oats, flax or sunflower seeds added to her diet as well. Or maybe her pellets aren't providing something she needs.

Just make sure they are normal looking eyes, where you can see the eyelids, but they're just still together. If you have trouble seeing the eyelids, or there is crust, they may have nest box eye. I'd think it pretty unlikely for three bunnies to get it in both eyes at the same time, though. :)
