Finally got around to breeding our new NZs, no signs of the p-word. The breeder said to wait till six months to let them finish growing. It is now five months and the doe is almost bigger than the breed standard. So we did it. The buck grabs fur in his teeth and doesn't fall off until the fur pulls loose. I guess he is afraid of falling. Always entertaining.

How do you catch a unique rabbit?

You "neek" up on it :p

Sorry, old joke from my childhood.

*fingers crossed for popples*

We weighed her earlier at eleven pounds and four ounces. At five months old I figure that is plenty big. Now if we could get the champagnes to grow. Buck is just over six pounds and doe is just over eight. I might let them grow awhile until 8 months or so.
