All six does scheduled, kindled on time. One of my top three does, for some unknown reason, kindled on the wire. This was her 7th litter and the first time she's ever had a problem. Of course the 8 kits were dead on the wire....no response after being warmed up.

I had several does end up with 9 to 12 live kits. I fostered them to the doe that lost the litter. I put 7 youngsters in her nestbox and covered them with the fur she'd pulled and went on about my business. It wasn't five minutes and she was in the nest, nursing the kits.

My best doe is slowing down. her last litter, she had 6. this time, only 4. I've got several junior daughters and a couple of her sons saved back for stock. Several of her older daughters are doing quite well.

Grumpy.

:bouncy: That's great, Grumpy! I'm sorry the one doe lost her litter, but at least you were able to give her some babies to raise, and take some pressure off of some of the other does. :)

I had one on the wire too, shes a first time mother soo she will get rebred today.
