I either got two does mixed up, or one was bred even though she didn't lift and the buck didn't fall.
I put two nest boxes out for the two that I "know" (or at least thought) was successful with - they both instantly started pulling fur, moving stuff around. One has had her litter, the other is just hanging out, nest largely untouched from the last day or two. As I was checking things out I noticed the doe in between them was haystaching with the little bit she had loose in her cage - hopping in circles, moving it from corner to corner. Huh?? So I ran and got another box, "borrowed" some material from the two next to her, and threw in a handful of hay. She is frantically fixing a nest.
I am so confused! I was 100% sure I knew which two does he was successful with... and I was pretty sure neither of the other two lifted at all for him. Maybe I was wrong? Or could it be that since she's surrounded she feels those urges to nest??
