So my Jersey Wooly who usually has 6 babies finally, on day 32, gave birth to only two babies- I think I might have let her get too fat after her last litter and maybe it affected her fertility. Anyway, my question is since there are only two babies do I have to worry about them freezing? Temperatures here are mild, it's spring, 50 degrees at night and about 60 during the day. They are inside and last night I did run a heater, but I don't like using it I'm paranoid about fire hazard with all that hay. So should I continue to use the heater and set the thermastat on 70? or should I just let temps remain at 50-60?

Nevermind- because its several days later and they seem to be fine- super fat and happy.

Glad to hear they are okay. Sorry, I didn't really have anything to suggest when I first read it :(

If I had noticed this thread  I would have said they will be fine without the heater. I have had singletons do fine with enough fur pulled by the doe so two at mild temps wouldn't have worried me.

How are they doing now?
