I really need to stay off of craigslist, I just emailed the owner lol I have always wanted jersey woolies and this one is cute i'm a sucker for rew rabbits! I have 3 of them right now.

I found out this is a doe named Rosie! I am definitely gonna get her if the owner lets me. She is cute.

lol thanks that means a lot coming from you! According to the owner she is one year old and has a very sweet disposition. I am excited to bring her home.

I asked the owner where she got her from, she has only had the rabbit for 2 months and I know she hasn't bred her, not sure about the person who had the rabbit before.

__________ Tue May 29, 2012 1:47 pm __________

reply from owner.
We got her from a photography friend who got her from her niece. The rabbit was used for Easter photography because she's so sweet. The niece was moving and her family couldn't take the three rabbits with, so we fostered this one til a home was found. The niece bought her originally as a show rabbit, but I have no idea if she did that, or not before having to give her up!

Thanks! Do you think a year would be too old to try and get a litter out of her if it's her first time?

No I just bred a doe that was a year cause im retiring her from her show career..even though I waited till now because she showed well I usally breed my does at 6 months. But my does will breed till their 6 or 7 years old..many will..but not every line will. The first litter proly wont be big or will die but dont give up. I would breed her when you get her or when you get a buck if you want to get a litter from her.

Thanks for the info. I just picked her up. She is gorgeous and is tattood. I hope I can track down her breeder and get her pedigree. She is registered too. Just noticed an r in her ear. Can you help me find info on her? Her tattoo says hot.

If you contact the ARBA, you should be able to track down her registration paper through her ear number. That will include information about her breeder, as well as the breeder's contact information. Thanks to that little "R", you'll have a much better time finding her history. Lucky you!

Here she is, she is so calm and gentle! Very sweet little rabbit. Excuse the dust on my camera lens! I didnt even realize it was dirty until I pulled the pics up on my computer.

She is adorable! Registered, too!?!

Good luck in your hunt for her breeder- I hope you can get her pedigree. :)

Damn the woman on the phone said I needed written permission from the owner on file to get any information, she wouldn't even give me the breeder name from the pedigree. So I contacted the person I got her from who's friend is the aunt of the original owner (lol) to try and get the original owners email address. This is a pain! lol
