Well im gonna be looking for a black pointed white buck that will mature at 2 pounds with 2 inch at the most ears or a similar black buck within the next 6 months to a year. And I would pay $250 or more to get it if need be. :D It needs to be fully pedigreed show quality with no disqualifying features. I know exactly what I want so now to save up some cash and find it.

__________ Mon Sep 24, 2012 10:02 pm __________

I believe sometime next year I will be heading south. I just saw the cutest REW jw pic ever. Wish I had the money to buy that one. :) What a wool cap he has.....

I am gonna have some fitting that description in a few months when i breed my broken black doe to one of my bucks. I can't wait to see what she produces. She has tiny ears with lots of substance and an amazing body and round head. Her pictures never do her justice.

Too bad we all live so darn far apart. I have to wait till spring now. With the truck issue im not sure how my hubby pulled off getting these ones. I go to Central Illinois every few months but that's still a long ways from you. Im thinking on going to Tennessee in late spring though.

You thinking you will get himi's from that breeding? That's what I'm
really wanting. :) I can then use him for my blacks as well. I may wind up with otters out of the black doe and Sr buck in 30 days. But not sure I want otters.

But if you are going to get a rabbit from who i think you are i promise it oil be nice because he culls (kills) everything that is not show quality.

I gathered as much. Im sure he doesn't want his name on anything that isn't of high quality. There are NO woolies here and I don't want to flood the area with sub standard rabbits either. People here would just use them to make more mutts. :( im not sure what to do with my culls.

No not himis but i will get blacks. I have a nice little pointed buck but he comes from different lines and is missing 2 great grandparents on his pedigree.

Sounds like my kind of guy. You ladies make me want JW so much. My Rex breeder has them for her kids to show. But alas, I already have four breeds, and don't plan on giving up the hollands or the mini rexes.

Lol sky.

I wish it wasn't so darn far. One more generation and that pedigree would no longer be an issue. :) I wish there was a way to transport up here easier.

__________ Mon Sep 24, 2012 10:38 pm __________

Its 16.5 hours from here to Chatanooga. :'( that's more than a day trip.

The best way right now is national convention! There is even a transport group that charges 20 an animal. People all over the country go and can transport for you.

Lindsey, my breeder is getting transport from the National Convention. Will you be attending?

My concern with transport is that you will have rabbits from multiple breeders traveling together without quarantine. I guess those would be rabbits that would need to be quarantined for 60 days after arrival.

Yes that is the downside, but people normally bring their best to convention. I have transport with a friend of mine and peach's who lives super close. :) he is bringing me my new doe and 2 mini lop does for peach. :)

I am finally getting my sables, at least I hope so!

This is one concern with transport :(

Well our friend has been to convention about 16 times and i don't think he has really had a problem yet.

Yes the man surely is amazing. I have no idea how he pulled this off. I keep looking around the house trying to figure out what he sold. I have yet to find anything missing though. It must of been some of his 40k miniatures. If thats the case I feel really bad. He has so much into those and loves them.

__________ Tue Sep 25, 2012 12:04 am __________

I want to go to convention.

Congratulations! They are all just lovely! Wishing you all the success in showing and breeding.
