I have no idea how he managed to pull it off but he is the best EVER!!

RT meet Schultz's Cool Shot
My new show bunny. :) Ears are 2.75 but his hind quarters are phenomenal.
He is 4 months old. His wool cap is just coming back in and I was petting him to comfort him and pushed it all flat. poor guy.

I have a brood trio as well. I plan to breed the brood does to the other buck and show Cool Shot. Once their doe kits grow up I will breed them with him. So he is house bunny/Show bunny for now.

I will share pics of them later today too.

What a wonderful hubby you have!

Handsome bunny! The Woolys continue to colonize RT rabbitries at an alarming rate!

I flattened the wool caps too- but Queenpup and I have been fluffing them up when we take the bunnehs out to play. :)

They are just so soft and smooshy I can't help but pet them all over and there goes the wool cap. lol
I will have to learn not to do that before I start showing him.

The brood buck I have has under 2.5 inch ears so hoping he passes that along to his babies. My next purchase will be to introduce a line that is notorious for tiny ears and smaller size. ;) But I wanted to start with great overall proportion and hip. I plan to expand my herd with what I have now first. Raise up some nice does. I think it will be a couple of years before I add any outside lines.

fishdip he will be 3 pounds tops. :)

Thank you. I need to learn how to pose him better. The breeder could get him posed just perfect but Not me!! lol

Why no, of course not.

Just think... next year you could take home a "bonded-half-dozen" in the under-the-seat carrier.

I am planning to breed both does to the SR buck. I will keep only the best doe kits from both does. I will then breed the doe kits to the Jr buck. From there I am hoping to bring in a buck from another line which I am really liking. So with plan in place and black doe bred to Sr buck today, I do believe I am on my way to raising and showing Jersey Woolys. :p

__________ Mon Sep 24, 2012 7:31 pm __________

Both Does ears are 2.5 inches and Sr bucks ears are 2.25 inches. Sr doe is in full molt and neither doe has a wool cap right now.

Oooh! You got a black one, too! :p

The Senior doe has nice open ears. My breeder is going to buy a buck from another breeder who has open ears with better thickness. She has been saving up for it, because he wont sell a buck for less than $250! I am hoping to get a kit out of him (the future buck) eventually.

I think i know which breeder you are talking about. That is the line most of my rabbits come from and all have nice short thick open ears. :) your new bunnies are cute. I like the last one in the second post the best.

a (very) nice (late) Anniversary Present, too! Congratulations!

I Believe you may be talking about the same breeder/line that I am hoping to eventually get a buck from. I am starting to save up now. With any luck I will be able to get said buck in the next year. With that line and the hips/body of the line I have now, I believe I will get some really amazing kits.

They are all so much better than their pics. For some reason they are uncooperative and camera shy today.

__________ Mon Sep 24, 2012 9:04 pm __________

The Sr Buck would be granded but he is martinized so DQ. :( But he is put together really nice. The black doe is going to DQ on weight but will make a nice brood doe. And the Sr doe is just a brood doe that tends to throw kits better than herself. I think her and the SR buck will cross well. :)

Pssst the breeder i gave you the info of has some rabbits from that line for less than half the price. ;)
