Had a wonderful time!
Met & talked bunnies with our own Ann Claire. Silver foxes are just so soft! My sister made off with a trio from her. :bunnyhop:
Got 2 does registered. Coming right along in getting a barn full of registered rabbits. Since my buck is also registered, now any babies from these girls will be red / white registered.
Did some shopping and got everything I needed from the vendor. It's just SO annoying to build a stack of cages, only to find out you are out of door guard, or feeders, or a door latch, or something inane but totally necessary! :x
Sold a couple of adults and a couple of bunnies. Paid for the trip out of "rabbit money". Made the hubby a little happier.
Met up with an old friend I hadn't seen in years. She has some nice, quality animals and I respect her opinion. She was helpful enough to look at a few of my juniors. Enjoyed talking and catching up.
Made an impulse buy on a Flemish Giant baby buck. He's in the uglies so bad he's just adorable. I need him like I need another hole in my head, but I just love Flemish! :stars:
Lastly, put 10 juniors on the table and still had 3 of them there when it came time to judge best of breed. I was awfully proud of them! It got even better when my little 3 month old jr buck took best opposite sex of breed to my old friends BIG sr doe. Won himself a leg before he was even 3 months old! :mbounce:
All in all, it was a WONDERFUL trip and I'm glad I went. It was even worth loading up in & dealing with RAIN, just so drought stricken Okla got some.
Now, making plans for Skiatook! My little buck will definitely be going, as will his 2 sisters, who also showed very well.
