I would just be patient. Some rabbits go until day 35 or 36, or even longer... but if they go longer than 36 days the outcome is usually poor.

There are certain herbs classed as "emmenagogues" that cause contractions.

Some are very mild, others very strong that can cause abortion. If your does are not nearing the end of the normal parameters for giving birth, I wouldn't recommend using any of these herbs... let nature and the doe decide when to give birth. Fetal development varies, and usually the doe's body will know when it is time. :)

Best of luck with your litters! :clover:

None of my does EVER deliver when they are supposed to...all summer and fall mine have gone on day 35+. :| No harm to the kits to be "cooked" a little longer though...better overcooked than under if you catch my drift! I agree with MSD, just let them take their time. :)

i came home from work today to find a dead kit out of the inside nesting area, just one no more even born. she hasn't build a nest either.
these are my first bread does so i trying to figure things out.

still nothing!
i thought rabbits we baby makers.

Yes, but they are not machines. Sometimes they are late; sometimes they do not become pregnant even though the mating looked successful. Very, very occasionally the developing kits may be reabsorbed by the doe due to unfavourable conditions.

What day, counting from the breeding day, are they on now?

Whatever you do, do not remove the nest box. So often a rabbit breeder will give up on a doe, only to have her kindle on the wire... which usually results in chilled kits.
