Steel or ?

Hello everybunny,

So, about 6-7 weeks ago, we had a little party in our rabbitry (read here: post270883.html#p270883). Basically, I both litters to be meaties, but there is this one baby that looks quite special. However, I can't figure out it's colour, it looked Blue the first few days, I thought Sable or something (never had that kind of bun so really no clues), or maybe a Steel (all our Steels look more Black and rather Golden Tipped). Here are few photos of the little mystery kit.

I'd say siamese/black sable = aa B_ cchl_ D_ E_

If bred to a black based REW (= aa __ cc __ __) this would be the only colour you'd get

I wasn't aware of cchl in our rabbitry. Awsome.

I do not plan on keeping this baby as this litters were planned to be meat rabbits. However, I might offer it for sale as the kit is getting quite tame. Anyways, thanks again.

I agree that kit also looks like a Siamese Sable.
