I was at a show a while back and picked up some plastic balls for my does to toss around for something to do.

My younger, now just sr. doe, has decided to really guard hers, and she is getting really territorial about it.

Could it just be hormones?, Or is the toy making her weird for some reason? She now grunts at you if she thinks your after it or her. Just two weeks ago she was at a show and she was perfect.

Could the ball be triggering her guarding behavior, or is it she is six months old and needs to be bred? I was going to wait for spring, but I might just breed her and her grandma at the same time, in case she has first time mom problems. She is exactly at sr weight.
I know one thing, I won't put up with this, if it gets worse.

Got her out and checked her and she is getting swollen and pink, I get my new buck next weekend, and I think I'm just going to let him breed them both after having him checked out.
