A horrible photo, she was pretty tired of being fussed with. You can see the white-ness in her chest, along her jawline and around her eyes. She's also whiter on her belly, the bottom of her tail and the bottom of her feet.

her hair parted, you can see it's white underneath.

I know she's a Japanese harlequin, but something else seems to be at work. Just wondering what genetically gives her the white base and highlights. As far as I can tell from what I see and what she's produced, her genetics are AaB_C_Ddeje.

Almost a year. She'll be a year next month.

Her harlequin kits have had colour right down to the skin, except one.

I would call her a badly marked Japanese harlequin.
The baby I would call a badly marked tri. There is very definitely some white, but the colors aren't separated enough to really call them spots.
This is just my opinion, since you asked. Either way, both are very pretty bunnies.

The baby is tanned out all over now, though, so it's not a tri. Poorly marked or not, there's a gene working there to make it happen, or all her other harlequin babies(3 blue, 4 Japanese) would have ended up the same, wouldn't they?

Your Lily is lovely. And those babies are precious. Dobby and Lilly do make some pretty babies.

Oh and there's also no genetics in the breeding for a tri. Best I could get would be heavy vienna markings.

Thanks Karen. I'm rather fond of her, and him, and the brats they make... Starting to get really excited as we get closer to the date that I can safely sex the babies and decide which to keep. The empty cages around here are just SCREAMING to be filled, LOL.
