So, this is my English Lop doe, Tauriel, I was told at first that she was going to be a blue tortoise but, later was told she ended up being a black tort. Know I am wondering if she is actually a blue tortoise or just a smutty black tortoise, (I’m leaning towards smutty black tort.) or if her coloring is just fine. I recently got a broken black tort buck and his saddle is quite orange-er than hers. Hers seems to have a lot more grey sprinkled throughout. The buck is 2 years old and she is only 5 months old so I was wondering if her coat just isn’t mature yet but, it should be by her age correct?

Also, is the placement of her coloring correct?

A black tort would have dark brown on its back and black tipped ears. Your rabbits has light brown with what seems like blue tipped ears so she’s a blue tort. My torts usually get their full coloring at around 2 to 3 months old. Im not sure about correct color placement someone else will have to help you with that.
