Just tried something new. Had a pair of older rabbits.

Marinated overnight in equal parts BBQ sause and Beer with some garlic and onion flaks.

Slow smoked for about 3-4 hours unwraped

placed smoked rabbits in a aluminan pam poured over another patch of BBQ sause & Beer covered pan with aluminan foil slow cooved on the grill (200-300 dregrees) another 3-4 hours.

Fall off the bone good.

Wish I could try that! My dad would kill me if I let his gas grill run that long, and he made me get rid of my charcoal Webber when I moved back in with him. :(

Got a wood smoker. Smoked using mesquite from the field. You could maybe smoke it then move to the over for the last part.

I love smoked rabbit. I have only used apple wood chips and apple juice.
I will have to try them your way. it sounds real good.

Just got a smoker last week to do a large salmon we caught. Yummy stuff. Can't wait to try rabbits in it. Is your recipe tried or in the experimental stage? Sound delicious! :chef: :dinner:
