I have a Smoke Pearl Jersey Wooly doe, and have been offered a Black Otter buck. Are these acceptable colors to cross?

On the top side of my doe's pedigree, I have:

--------------------------------Siamese Sable
----------------REW
--------------------------------Blue Otter
Sable Marten
--------------------------------Siamese Sable
----------------Siamese Sable
--------------------------------Black

The bottom side;

------------------------Broken Tortoise Shell :?
-------------Blue Tort
------------------------Blue Tort
Blue Seal
------------------------Siamese Sable
-------------Seal
------------------------Broken Smoke Pearl

I don't know what is behind the Black Otter yet.

Any help to the "genetically challenged" would be highly appreciated. ;)

What are the plans for the kits?

Are there any specific colours you don't want?

Genetically ...
Doe = aa B_ cchl (cchl OR c) dd E(E OR e)
Buck = at_ B_ C_ D_ E_

You will likely just get black and black otter, of course this depends on the hidden recessives the buck carries.

Thanks, Caroline and Dood.

The kits would be for show or (possibly) pets. I don't know that I want to sell to the pet market, though, so the culls may be pet food, not pets. ;)

In Netherlands this is considered a fine cross as you could get smoke pearl martens if your buck carries dilute!
