Hello!

My daughter shows her market rabbits this Wednesday (48ish hours) and noticed one of rabbits has small white flakes deep into its ear canal. We actually gave the rabbits one last vegetable oil dose on Saturday in theirs ears to smother any ear mites that we may not see. What can I do with being so close to show to help get those last bit of flakes out? I don't want to use anymore oil because of how makes their fur look and they will irritate their ears by scratching. Thank you!

There's a horse wormer made from Ivermectin, a little dab of that either in the ear or on the head between the ears will get rid of the flakes which are frequently ear mites. You can also get the Ivermectin as a sheep drench and squirt some in their ear. Or as an injection.
