In a creepy sort of way. But I probably feel that way because I know it's not supposed to be like that.

Oooh, pretty!

The lady I got my beginner angora stock from was not the brightest when it came to rabbits (many of my rabbits from her died almost immediately from sickness, I was too new to realize it myself since she was kinda my 'mentor' and thought the only sickness out there was snuffles, only realized what was going on when I had already bought the rest of her stock and started to get new, healthy stock from other breeders, man those vet bills went away quick!) and she had a true REW SF. She was a gorgeous bun, but definitely not something you wanted to add to the herd for fear of it cropping up later. She was always trying to push her off on me, but it was before my meat rabbit phase, so I had no use for a doe I would only be crossing to my Angora bucks.

I have yellow eyes in the GSDs, but it's not a dq, just a minor fault, as the darkest eye is preferable. In a show rabbit, blue eyes suggest something very wrong. That creeps me out more than the actual color.

The thought is growing on me though, to keep any whites from this experiment, and blue eyes would be a plus. Wonder if they could be considered a separate breed?

>.> I have a REW silver fox >.> she is a really sweet not very bright rabbit ~cough~ but then I also have some that carry chocolate, blue, and lilac so >.>
I have a White Flemish for a while with pretty green eyes..sold him to a lady that wanted to get into breeding them but hated the red eyes..she jumped at the chance to get him :p

I can't say any of my SF seem particularly bright, They are not nearly as sharp witted as my Rex or Angoras. Seems that the sweeter personality goes with that.

__________ Wed Sep 04, 2013 11:51 am __________

Try breeding two with white stars together or to the parents to see what you get. That's how the blue eye/ white foot came about. That way you know if you just have the Scattered white hair gene, or the vienna gene from a Beveren influence.

A *green-eyed* white? Shame on you for not trying to work with that, Sinnfox. :p

And while I love my inquisitive, intelligent Mini Rex, I admit my puppy-like Lion Lop is probably more friendly and she's dumb as a bag of rocks. XD
