I have a litter of kits and their mother often eats fresh grass, but now that they have started jumping out of the nest box I've stopped giving her grass because I've heard that fresh veggies can cause problems with young kits. Does this apply to fresh grass as well? the kits have been nibbling on mom's dry food and have had no problems.

Kits can eat everything the doe eats. That "fresh veggies" saying is about rabbits that were raised on hay or pellets only - in that case you should not introduce fresh stuff for quite some time.

They get their first set of gut bacteria from mom, and can digest everything she eats. That they start on the same stuff is the only way in nature, nobody enforces feeding rules on them there :)
