Just wondering but was it particularly cold or hot? That could affect even a proven buck.
What did the buck die from?

I have one doe, a white NZ, who absolutely despises my wife. Won't let her touch, or even stick her hand in the cage. I had to move the hay rack to the outside just so she can feed her. Me she is fine with, comes up for attention, gets held a bit every day or two, etc... I dunno what it is. None of the others do it to her. She's being a good mama tho, so she gets to stay (for now)

That's interesting. Was this doe born in your barn? Maybe she had a bad experience with a female and she is scared of them. I know dogs can be like that

No particular change. Sometimes they just die. I'm not real happy with ones that just die for no apparent reason before a year old. Had another doe from similar breeding do that, found dead in the cage one morning.

__________ Sat Sep 21, 2013 2:29 pm __________

Evil Wooly doe is like that. She was raised by females, and is used to dogs, and rabbit shows. She just hates me.
