My rex doe had a litter of 3 almost 3 weeks ago (Saturday).
One of the babes has strange fur. It is sort of curly. His whiskers are crazy and go in every direction.
I took some photos, but they just don't show what is going on very well. what are we dealing with here?

How neat! I will have to read up on it. I think I will be keeping this one.

he looks like a normal fluffy kit to me, but maybe the pictures just aren't doing justice.

I had a Rex mutt start off with some intense curls. The photos never seem to do it justice! His coat is completely straight now with no molting. It is somewhat common to have them molt and the curls vanish. Sometimes, the fur won't grow back at all! Your second set of photos depict the curls a lot more. Take a peek at @2CrazyFools posts. They are developing Avante-Garde Reza rabbits, which are Astrex-coated bunnies. This post in particular is a cool read.
Thanks! I will check it out.
I hope it's fur will stay like it is. I think it's so cute!

Fingers crossed the curls stay!

I was disappointed by my buck's curls vanishing. He's 4.6 months old now, but will be breeding him in about 2 months back to mum. I'll make a post if the curls are passed on to his offspring! :)
