I assume they can have charlies in any breed with brokens?
This guy has nice face markings but minimal body markings... For breeding sake is he Charlie or just a lightly marked broken do you think?
(He is such a cutie... Prince Harry)

What colour were his parents?

If one was solid then he cannot be a Charlie, if both were broken then there is a chance and only test breeding to a solid will reveal his colour genes

VM = Vienna Marked which is another gene that adds white, I don't see it in this guy but it hides VERY well

I would call him a Charlie!
The name comes from Charlie Chaplin, you may not know the name.
He was an actor/comedian/producer back in the day.
If you'd seen his Mustache you'd understand.
The rabbit appears to me to have way too little color to be considered a Broke.
It has to be at least 10% to be broken. He still might produce some very nice Rabbits
if bred to a solid.
Ottersatin. :eek:ldtimer:

Ah! Charlie Chaplin :)

And yes, Harry is adorable-- just like his namesake!

Now I'm curious(er)!
I was going to breed him to my new REW , and I may still, but I think I'll breed him to my new chestnut meat mutt, too, to test his EN status!

I also have a minimally marked broken tort doe, mom is a solid so maybe she is what is called a false charlie?
