Marion Zimmer Bradley

Oh, that brings up memories. It's been a long time...

And for some strange reason I have an addiction to James Clavell and the whole Shogun/Noble House/ Taipan series thing. I was totally in love with Asian culture when I was a teen.

still have a list to make but there are two books, that I think should be on school reading lists
Walt Disney's "Bullwhip Griffin" and "Alas Babylon" by Pat Frank (the pen name of Harry Hart Frank)
the first gives a good idea of economics during the time of the Gold Rush and
the second gives a good idea of what it is like when government breaks down.

Your BIL and I are very interested in Holocaust related media as well. Have you seen The Devil's Arithmatic?

No. We have a whole series of Nat. Geo. (I think) videos on Hitler. And more books I didn't mention.

Now that sounds like a timely book to read!

I've been published in Mags like Outdoor Life, Field and Stream and Southern Outdoors but that was years ago. I had to give it up when I went overseas for the Korean war and somehow never got back to it. I've had one book published.
As far as books and authors I'm just getting reaquainted with Christopher Moore. I love his screwabll way of lookig at the world. If you havenb't read "The Gospel According to Biff" you really should. It's told from the viewpoint of a supposed childhood friend of Jesus. Right now I'm reading,"It's a Dirty Job" by him.
I still write now and again, mostly humorous short stories for my own amusement. I post them over on Paperback Swap. Here's an example.
