a few of my rabbits have been getting bald spots on their bodies, i suspect flies or some sort of parasite since its warm and they're outdoors. I aint seeing any botfly holes though. my thrianta buck and his daughter have been losing fur on their legs and my champagne buck on his chest and stomach, my flemish on her face. Any idea of what other critters can cause this? and any advice on what to treat with? they seem fine and skin healthy. thanks!

I have a similar thing happened except there’s bold patches on the back of the neck and it only happens for rabbits with angora like fur.

I joined this group, but have only posted once as we are conservative Mennonite and don't participate in social media and the like, but we also experience hair loss on some rabbits each year in the height of Summer. I can try to take some pictures, but I don't know if I'll be able to figure out how to post them. We do use an organic pest control product that I can also share. I am in my mid 50's and have raised various breeds of rabbits since I was a child and have seen this pretty much every Summer. We expect it, don't let it get out of hand, and don't worry too much about it. This is not to assume that everyone's problem might be the same as ours, but perhaps it will help a few of you. I took a few pictures, but I'm not sure how to share them, can anyone tell me please?

Hope I have added these pictures correctly. These are the two Does in our rabbitry that are currently affected. We have around 50 breeding stock rabbits and to many bunnies to count. They are all pedigreed and purebred New Zealand Whites. At this time of year, we treat them all daily before we turn the fans on the in the mornings. Out of all our rabbits these are the only two that presently have hair loss, that's not bad in my opinion.thumbnail_20220716_121250_resized.jpgthumbnail_20220716_121322_resized.jpg

What is stress pulling? Could you please describe?
Nervous picking. Best example for me is a child I know. He's a bit ADHD, bipolar, etc. His first two years in public school were stressful for him and he picked and pulled his eye brows and eye lashes out. He was a mini Mona Lisa and can laugh about it now because he's a grownup of 22.
The stress for the rabbits could be from heat, noise, other animals, other disturbances that might not be at all obvious to you.
